Low-carbon steel, after solid carburizing and quenching, is simple in process and low in cost, with a hard surface and flexible inner layer, providing certain wear resistance. Special cast iron, with easy access to materials, greatly improves wear resistance after chilling, but strict control of material composition and production processes is required to prevent breakage during use. Additionally, surface hardening treatments, such as surfacing tungsten carbide on working edges, can significantly extend the lifespan of hammer blades. Although the manufacturing cost increases, it offers high cost-effectiveness in terms of long-term use and production benefits.
